  1. Gosh, blogging has changed so much that I really had to look to see where I was suppose to click to leave a comment.

I hope your knitting blog takes off. Mine hasn't. I notice you are showing who you are on Ravelry....post us your projects there as you go. I do look, but nothing new. I sent you a message over there several months ago. :)

I currently have 10 designs available on Ravelry, and in LYS's in East Tennessee. Hopefully my latest is going to release this week. I am always looking for new test knitters and now have my own group on Ravelry, Heirloom Goods.

    1. Yay! Welcome!
I know I am terrible at updating on Rav.!!!!
It is just one more thing I need to remember to do! Know what I mean?
      I will try harder!
Oh you know- you gave me an idea!
Maybe in a week or so. Could I interview you and put a link to you on Rav. with your patterns???
Let me know what you think.

  2. I don't know how to knit, but I would love to learn. I a, a leftie, so that kind of complicates things. Funny story: I bought a knitting for lefties book, but couldn't understand it, so I had the hubs learn and then teach me. Now we have both forgotten it and I want to learn again! I guess it's time to look for that old book! Love the design on this page, especially the color! ;)

    1. Hi Heather!!!
I am so glad you came! I haven't talked to you in forever!
You should totally try knitting again. Try doing something simple like a dishcloth or scarf.
If you have problems I can talk you through it. Just email me.
      Don't be a stranger!

  3. Yea, I think your blog is going to be great. I will let the knitting group know about your knitting blog. I hate making small items like socks and slippers. I love the ones you make for me. Love making sweaters and vests and really got into making shawls this year. I really like making cables. They look harder than they really are.
    Count me in!!!!

  4. Like the idea of your new blog. I've been knitting hats for a charity called My Mother's House in Taunton, MA. I use ravelry but never post anything there. I think it is getting so large it is cumbersome to navigate.

    1. Hey Chris, thanks!
I agree with you about Ravelry, it is getting so big now!
I am trying very hard to keep up though.
Look forward to seeing on here as a visitor!

  5. I love knitting as you know. I've been crocheting the last bit though because of a sore wrist. I do however want to learn how to knit socks. Maybe I'll give it a go and then drove yo crazy with questions on what I'm doing wrong. Lol.

I taught myself to knit when I was about 11 years old I guess. I only did scarves and blankets and for some reason never taught myself to do more although I'm sure I could with more patience. I do fingerless gloves but not he kind with the thumb and have done a sweater years and years ago. Maybe it's time again to try something new.

I'm looking forward to your knitting blog. I always love to see what new things you're knitting. Your projects are always so beautiful.

    1. Hi Dar! Thanks for stopping by!
Socks really are only hard the first time. Then they get easier and easier. I say - just try it! Do a simple basic pattern, and even use bigger needles and thicker yarn for the first time, that's what I did. Make like - winter socks. And for you that would be good anyway! LOL
Its just a matter of following the directions.

And yes, you are always welcome to email me with questions!
Maybe I will start a sock, step-by step tutorial... sometime lol.

  6. Grrr!!! GFC is not being my friend right now. I'll have to try to follow you later.

I never have the patience for knitting. I was taught how to crochet when I was ten (I only knew how to make scarves though) and then I tried to pick it up again a couple of years back. It frustrated me. Knitting/crocheting is not meant for me, but I'm glad that it works for you.

  7. I'm sure I will enjoy your blog. I am part of your Mom's Friday afternoon knitting group in Vonore, TN. We can solve all of the problems of the world in a mere 2 hours! I am also the spokeswoman (and organizer) for a group here that crochets and knits baby items for a maternity center -- lots of fun and much appreciated. My stash of yarn should last for another 50 years -- I'd like to think I could be around that long!!
